Bearing mounting

To ensure accurate installation of bearings on shafts or in a housing it is necessary to use special mounting tools and accessories.

The simpliest way to install the bearing on a shaft is pressing-in using special mounting tubes made of a soft material - shock resistant plastic with a hole diameter a little larger than the installed bearing bore diameter and with wall thickness not exciding the thickness of the bearing inner ring. Ideally, the bearing installation is performed using the bearing mounting tool kit BALTECH TOOLS that contains 36 installation mandrels (shock rings) with the inner diameter from 10 mm to 50 mm and outer diameter from 26 mm to 110 mm, 3 installation mandrels on which the mounting rings are installed and inertia-free hammer. In this case the mounting force is not transmitted through rolling elements and the bearing installation is performed without damaging the rolling element, cage and rings.

It is recommended to heat the medium and large bearings before they interference fit using the induction heaters BALTECH HI-1610 or BALTECH HI-1650 that quickly perform heating of the bearings or parts up to the defined heating temperature.

The bearing heating in oil bath or with burners is as an oil-fashioned method while the heating using the induction heaters BALTECH HI Series is an environmentally safe process, without smoke and smell; it consumes less energy and allows controlling the heating temperature.
