Heating bearings induction method
One of the main reasons of the bearing failure is nonobservance of requirements to the bearing installation on a shaft, namely, bearing overheating or insufficient heating before its mounting. This is especially important in case of steam turbines where the bearing replacement is a very labour-intensive process. The uniform heating of large-size bearings up to a defined temperature can be easily performed using the induction heaters.
The bearing heating using the induction heaters saves time and reduces energy consumption.
It should be also noted that the bearing overheating leads to change of metal mechanical properties and to the bearing premature failure, therefore a local heating using the open fire is unacceptable. This problem can be avoided by using the induction heater BALTECH HI-1650 as this system has the expanded power electronics that controls accuracy of electrical current supply, temperature and time of the heating, as well as temperature distribution uniformity on a surface.
To make the heating process safe, environmentally friendly, cost-effective and to minimize the labour costs and time, to avoid unsheduled breakdown we recommend using the induction heaters.
