Bearing replacement

Bearing replacement requires extreme accuracy and observance of a variety of special conditions and requirements. A lot of factors influence the bearing wear: dynamic loads, frictional heating, temperature drop, influence of chemical agents and salt. Only a systematical inspection and diagnostics of bearings allows timely detecting a wear and its degree and to timely replace the bearing. If the bearing replacement is made with non-compliance with the requirements of the technical standard documentation, the bearing will be subject to overheating, it will cause noise and vibration, increased energy consumption and as a result it will lead to the failure of the bearing and the whole equipment.

Interference fit of medium and large bearings on a shaft is conducted with the preliminary heating. We recommend performing this procedure using the induction heaters BALTECH Heater Induction Series that allow quickly heating parts with the weight of up to several tons. The correct installation of the bearings will ensure reliable and long term equipment operation. If you purchase bearings at BALTECH and timely replace worn bearings using the special mounting tools and induction heaters BALTECH HI-1633 developed by BALTECH you will secure your equipment from unscheduled downtime and repair.

You can get all the useful information on timely and correct bearing replacement using the proper heating and mounting instruments from our training seminars Reliability technologies.
