Rotor alignment

BALTECH is the first manufacture of the electromechanical devices intended to perform the rotor alignment. Every month the BALTECH training centre arranges the technical seminars and training courses TOP – 101 “Foundations of the rotor alignment” that cover all the aspects of the dynamic equipment alignment. Each course includes a practical training with use of the modern devices: BALTECH SA-4300 (electromechanical alignment system), laser alignment systems for alignment of shafts and machine trains, laser systems for sheave alignment and flatness check with a belt tension control function.

It is very important to check and perform the alignment of rotors. The alignment is always carried out when machines are switched off. During a machine operation with installed sleeve bearings a “shaft floating on oil wedge” occurs. The shaft alignment system BALTECH SA-4300 allows compensating the shaft floating on oil wedge and has a function of the dynamic movement compensation.

The easiest way to perform the accurate rotor alignment in the above- mentioned cases is using the inexpensive mechanical shaft alignment system BALTECH SA-4300. This system is especially useful for specialists who used to perform the alignment with gauges or needle (digital) indicators. You can select between two alignment methods: the rim and face or reverse indicator method. To ensure fast and precise alignment we also recommend to use the calibration steel shims BALTECH-23458N Series. The system shows the on-line machine movements therefore the remeasurement is not required. BALTECH SA-4300 has a function of the dynamic movement compensation. In this case the dynamic movements are considered during the alignment and when starting up the machine the residual misalignment is compensated.

It should be noted that BALTECH SA-4300 is the improved modification of the outstanding alignment system BALTECH SA-3300, which has been widely used for more than 10 years by the industrial enterprises for alignment of pumps, fans, compressors and gearboxes. During this period we were collecting the opinions of our customers so that to consider all the customers’ wishes and requirements.
